Search Console Report Across WordPress Sites in Cloud

A Search Console report across WordPress sites in GoBuildWP Cloud, via each site's Site Kit: clicks, pages losing clicks, low-CTR pages and positions 5-20.

Search Console has the numbers one property at a time. The SEO screen in GoBuildWP Cloud puts the useful slices for every site on one page: how each did over the last 28 days, which pages are losing clicks, which pages people see in Google and do not click, and which queries sit just below the top results. Cloud gets them from each site, not from Google.

What you will do 5 steps

  1. Link a Pro licence to Cloud

  2. Install GoBuildWP Pro on each site

  3. Connect Site Kit to Search Console on each site

  4. Open SEO in Cloud

  5. Work through the three lists

Why the report goes through Site Kit

Each site already signs in to Google through Site Kit, Google's own WordPress plugin, and that sign-in stays on the site. Cloud asks the site, the site asks Site Kit, and Site Kit asks Google. Cloud never holds a Google token, and you never grant GoBuildWP access to your Google account.

It also means each site reports only what its own Site Kit connection can see. A site connected to the wrong Search Console property shows that property's numbers.

What you need

The SEO report comes with a GoBuildWP Pro licence linked to the Cloud account. Without one, the screen explains this and shows the report button locked. Then, on each site: the GoBuildWP Pro plugin active, and Google Site Kit installed with Search Console connected. The site must be active in Cloud. A Read Only connection is enough, because the report only reads.

Owners, admins and members see the report. Clients do not.

  • Pro licence linked in Cloud
  • GoBuildWP Pro on the site
  • Site Kit's Search Console module connected
  • The site active in Cloud

What the report shows

Each site gets four figures for the last 28 days: clicks, impressions, click rate and average position. Under them, up to five entries in each of three lists.

  • Losing clicks: the pages with the largest drop in clicks compared with the 28 days before
  • Seen but not clicked: pages with many impressions and a click rate under half the site's average, with roughly how many clicks they miss. Their title and description are the first things to review
  • Average position 5–20 (the screen's label): queries at an average position from 5 to 20, with the page that ranks for each. Average position blends many searches and layouts, so a query here may already appear on page one for some searches; treat the list as a place to start looking, not a ranking forecast

When it refreshes

Cloud reads every active site of a Pro workspace once a day. Refresh on a site's row asks for a new read straight away. Site Kit keeps each answer for an hour, so a second refresh within the hour can return the same figures.

When a read fails, the row says Could not read Search Console, followed by the site's own message, for example a Site Kit connection that needs signing in again.

What the SEO report does not do

Its Search Console figures come from Site Kit; Analytics figures are not in the Cloud report, although an AI app connected to a site can read them through the same Site Kit integration. The PageSpeed scores above the report are measured by GoBuildWP Cloud for each site's home page with GoBuildWP's own Google key, not read from Site Kit. It changes nothing: rewriting a title or improving a page is still work you do, or ask an AI app to propose, on the site.

Cloud stores the latest summary for each site, top pages and queries with their clicks and impressions, and replaces it at each refresh.

Questions this guide answers

Does GoBuildWP Cloud connect to my Google account?

No. Each site reads Search Console through its own Google Site Kit plugin, where the Google sign-in stays. Cloud receives the report from the site and never holds a Google token.

Why does a site say it needs GoBuildWP Pro and Site Kit?

The site has no GoBuildWP Pro plugin, no Site Kit, or a Site Kit without Search Console connected. Fix whichever is missing on the site, then select Refresh.

Can clients see the SEO report?

No. The report is for the owner, admins and members of the workspace. Clients see status, pending updates and last backup for their sites.
